Taize Prayer nights

Currently Taize prayer nights are not running
Taize prayer nights seek to emulate Taize style prayer. Taize is a place in France run by an ecumenical order of Brothers. It was originally started as a place to hide Jews fleeing persecution in World War II. Since then it has become a place of retreat for mainly young people wishing to increase or find their faith.

Taize style prayer is very simple, repetitious and meditative. Most Catholics would have already heard some Taize songs - 'Stay with me' is sung in many Churches around Easter.
Taize prayer nights were run at St Patrick's Church by Sr Mary Della and later by Craig Hancock. Currently Taize prayer nights are not on due to lack of musicians.
